Shelby contacted me because one of her couples wanted an engagement session at the Virginia Capitol building in Richmond, Virginia and she wouldn’t be able to make it due to the current world events. I was thrilled to get out and about and do what I love. After being stuck home due to quarantining, this was a much welcomed outing.
Kate and James are just the sweetest couple with the cutest pup, Ginny. We got to the Virginia Capitol building and initially thought it was all closed due to the virus, but luckily, we were still able to walk around taking photos.
The Virginia Capitol, and really all of Richmond, is such a beautifully historic place to take engagement photos. You get that old, historic feel without having to deal with DC traffic and I am HERE for it. Large marble steps, columns, and the city feel of Richmond– you really can’t go wrong. It’s such a classic look that is perfect for your engagement session.
