Great Marsh Wedding

Rachel & Brad’s Great Marsh wedding was absolutely perfect. And, it was a long time coming. They were originally scheduled to get marred at Grace Estate in 2020, but we all know how 2020 went. They ended up needing to find a new venue and when they decided on Great Marsh, my fine art loving heart was so happy. Great Marsh Estate is one of the most stunning wedding venues in Virginia. The house has old world European vibes and the grounds are expansive and breathtaking.

Rachel spent the morning getting ready in the most gorgeous bridal suite with the best group of girls. Everyone was so inviting and helpful. Katie, with Ashley Rose Events, was their planner and an absolute joy to work with. The day went without a hitch. Seriously, such an amazing team of wedding vendors came together for this wedding. But, back to the real stars of the day, Brad and Rachel!

One of my favorite parts of wedding days is when the bride gets to look in the mirror for the first time in her dress. All the planning, time, and anticipation is finally done and she just gets to enjoy the day. Rachel did a first look with her brides maids and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Then, she did a first look with her daddy and oh my gosh– just the sweetest.

It was finally time for the most important first look of the day– we went out to one of the most stunning spots at Great Marsh and Brad got to see his beautiful bride for the first time! It was a busy day for this Great Marsh wedding, so we immediately went into their portraits. Absolutely stunning.

Afterward, the bridal party went into hiding as their guests arrived. Pulling up to the front of Great Marsh Estate is nothing short of breathtaking. Their guests were ushered to behind the house where a stunning floral arrangement set the stage for Rachel & Brad’s ceremony. And boy was it stunning! The renewed their vows in front of their friends and family before guests took the stunning stroll to the barn at Great Marsh.
